The Voluntary Sector Knowledge Network is a program of The Centre for Non Profit Management, Victoria, Canada.
It was created in 2001 with funds from the New Partnerships in Learning Technology program of Human Resources Development Canada and the InVOLve Program of the government of British Columbia.
VSKN is a web-based resource that assists paid and volunteer leaders and managers of non-profit organizations of all types.
It is an interactive learning site which offers knowledge and support in two ways:
-
The Read About It component offers a vast array of information and materials about a topic gleaned from scouring the web for the "best sites" ;
-
The Ask a Mentor component offers one on one sessions, for a limited time, with experts in the various areas of non-profits management.
